Arrive Delhi - Old and New Delhi Tour

Arrive late night at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. On arrival, meet our representative and transfer to hotel for rest. Morning after breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing of Delhi. Start with Old Delhi - visit the massive Red Fort built in 1648 by Shah Jahan, explore the bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk, and visit Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India. Continue to Raj Ghat - the simple memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. Early morning transfer to New Delhi Railway Station to board the fastest train to Agra (departs 0615 hrs, arrives 0800 hrs). On arrival, transfer to hotel and freshen up. Proceed for full day sightseeing of Agra - begin with the world-famous Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630 for his beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal, explore the stunning white marble mausoleum with intricate inlay work. Afternoon visit Agra Fort - a massive red sandstone fortress containing the Pearl Mosque, Hall of Public Audience, and Hall of Private Audience with stunning views of Taj Mahal from the palace windows. Morning drive to Jodhpur (350 kms, approx 6 hours). Check into hotel and rest. Late afternoon tour of Jodhpur - the Blue City. Visit Meherangarh Fort - one of the most formidable and impressive forts in Rajasthan, perched on a 125-meter high hill. Explore the fort's palaces including Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace), Phool Mahal (Flower Palace), and the museum with royal artifacts. Visit Jaswant Thada - the white marble royal cenotaph built in 1899. Udaipur - City Palace and Lake Pichola

Morning city tour of Udaipur. Begin with City Palace - a magnificent complex of palaces, courtyards, and pavilions overlooking Lake Pichola. Visit the Crystal Gallery with its rare collection of crystal furniture and ornaments. Explore the beautiful rooms including Mor Chowk (Peacock Courtyard) with its stunning glass mosaics. Darjeeling - Tiger Hill Sunrise and Toy Train

Early morning wake up at 0330 hrs and drive to Tiger Hill (11 kms, 30 minutes) to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Kanchenjunga mountain range. View the first rays of sun illuminating Mount Kanchenjunga (28,169 feet) - the world's third highest peak, and on clear days Mount Everest can also be seen. Return to hotel for breakfast. Gangtok - Tsomgo Lake and Nathula Pass

Early morning departure with packed breakfast for a full day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 feet) and Nathula Pass (14,140 feet). Drive 38 kms from Gangtok (approx 2 hours). Visit Tsomgo Lake - a sacred glacial lake with emerald green waters, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Enjoy a yak ride along the lake shore (optional). Continue to Nathula Pass - one of the highest motorable mountain passes in the world, located on the Indo-China border. Stand at the actual border line and see the Indian and Chinese military posts on either side. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Tibetan plateau and the Himalayan ranges. Return to Gangtok by evening. Lachen - Gurudongmar Lake Excursion

Early morning departure (0500 hrs) for a full day excursion to Gurudongmar Lake (75 kms, approx 3 hours one way). Drive through rugged high-altitude terrain with stunning landscapes. Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 feet) is one of the highest lakes in the world accessible by road. The lake is sacred to both Buddhists and Hindus, and is named after Guru Padmasambhava. The crystal-clear blue waters are frozen in winter and surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Spend time exploring the lake shore, meditating in the serene environment, and enjoying the breathtaking views. Return to Lachen by afternoon. Rest and recover from the high-altitude excursion. Evening leisure time to explore the village and interact with locals. Overnight stay at Lachen.

Lachen to Lachung - Transfer and Yumthang Valley

Morning drive from Lachen to Lachung (75 kms, approx 3 hours). Check into a lodge in Lachung (8,800 feet). Afternoon proceed to Yumthang Valley (11,800 feet) - also known as the Valley of Flowers. The valley is famous for its stunning rhododendron forests that bloom in April-May with over 24 varieties of rhododendrons in vibrant colors. Enjoy a walk through the valley with the River Teesta flowing through it. Visit the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary which protects these rare flowers. In winter, the valley is covered in snow and offers excellent snow activities. Visit the nearby hot springs with medicinal properties. Return to Lachung by evening. Overnight stay at Lachung.

Lachung to Gangtok - Return Journey

Morning after breakfast, start the return journey from Lachung to Gangtok (120 kms, approx 5 hours). The scenic drive retraces the route through the stunning mountain scenery of North Sikkim. Stop at various viewpoints including the confluence of Lachen and Lachung rivers at Chungthang, and the beautiful waterfalls along the way. Arrive at Gangtok by afternoon and check into your hotel. Gangtok to Pelling - Transfer and Pemayangtse Monastery

It is believed that the lake grants wishes and is considered one of the most sacred lakes in Sikkim. The lake surface is always clean and free of fallen leaves as birds remove them. Walk around the lake on the forested path and enjoy the serene atmosphere. Continue drive to Yuksom (35 kms, approx 1.5 hours) - the historical capital of Sikkim where the first Chogyal (king) was crowned in 1642. Visit the Dubdi Monastery (1701) - one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim, perched on a hilltop. Also visit the Coronation Throne (Norbugang) where the first king was enthroned. Board your connecting flight to Delhi or Mumbai for your onward international flight.
