India Travel Guide

The practical essentials for a smooth, memorable journey — from the best time to visit to visas, money, health and what to pack.

Best Time to Visit

When to travel

Best Time to Visit

India is a year-round destination — it just depends where you go. Winter (October–March) is ideal for most of the country, summer (April–June) is for the Himalayas and hill stations, and the monsoon (July–September) turns the hills and Western Ghats lush and green.

Getting around

Travel in Comfort

We arrange private, air-conditioned transport with an experienced driver for a smooth, door-to-door experience. For longer distances we include domestic flights or iconic train journeys, and in cities, app-based cabs are widely available.

Travel Respectfully

India's cuisine is a journey in itself — from rich curries to street-side snacks; eat freshly cooked and savour it. Remove your shoes before entering temples and homes, dress modestly at sacred sites, and always ask before photographing people. A friendly “Namaste” goes a long way, and tipping for good service is customary.

Good to Know

The practical bits, sorted before you fly.

Visas & Entry

Most visitors need a visa; many nationalities can apply online for India's e-Visa. Keep your passport valid for 6+ months — we provide supporting documents.

Currency & Money

The currency is the Indian Rupee (₹). Cards work in cities and hotels; carry cash for markets and smaller towns. Notify your bank before you travel.

Health & Safety

Drink bottled or filtered water, eat freshly cooked food, carry personal medication, and check recommended vaccinations. Enjoy 24/7 support throughout your trip.

Staying Connected

A local prepaid SIM or eSIM gives affordable data and calls; Wi-Fi is common in hotels, and popular map and messaging apps work well across the country.

What to Pack

Light, breathable clothing plus a layer for cool evenings and the hills, modest attire for temples, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, a hat and a reusable water bottle.
