Safari zones include Dhikala, Bijrani, Jhirna, and Garjiya, each offering different landscapes and wildlife experiences. Dhikala is the prime zone for tiger sightings with grasslands and the Ramganga River. Safaris are conducted in open jeeps with permits booked 45 days in advance. The park is closed during the monsoon months of July to September. Best season is November to June with March to June offering the highest tiger sighting probability as animals congregate near water sources. Winter months from November to February are cool and pleasant with temperatures ranging from 5-25 degrees Celsius. Summer months from March to June are hot with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius but offer excellent sightings. Carry binoculars, camera with telephoto lens, neutral-colored clothing, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, and comfortable walking shoes. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside core safari zones. Corbett is located 260 kms from Delhi and the drive takes approximately 5-6 hours via NH-9 through Hapur, Moradabad, and Kashipur.
